Trail work session on the old Mitchell Trail on Monday.
Location: Meet at Mitchell Trailhead at Yucca and Arizona
When: Monday, August 22, 2011, 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Trail work objectives: 1) to re-establish the trail tread along a bulldozer line that was created when the trail was used as a contingency fireline 2) use lop-and-scatter technique to cover short sections of fireline where it deviates from the trail
What to Bring: Wear long pants and long sleeve shirt, sturdy shoes. Bring work gloves, water. Tools and hard hats will be provided.
This work party is on the Santa Fe National Forest and is co-sponsored by the Volunteer Task Force.
