Saturday June 5 it National Trails Day and there is plenty of work to do on the Quemazon Trail just below Pipeline Road. We'll be cleaming out water bars, removing water bars that are no longer necessary, installing grade dips, sawing fallen trees, cutting back brush, and diverting water off the trail where ruts are forming.
It will be a tough work party--a two-mile hike to the work site with an 800-foot elevation gain. Everyone is invited to join us, even if you just want to come along for the hike. Wear sturdy shoes and long pants. Bring plenty of water, food, and sunscreen. If showers are in the forecast, bring raingear. All tools will be provided.
