With the ground frozen and trail work screeching to a halt, I turned my attention to updating the trail network map. In thinking of ways to share the data in an easier way than printed maps or map images on a web site, I took a crack at creating a layer for Google Earth. It works, more or less. The registration of the trails and the aerial photo isn't quite right--but it doesn't work for the roads, either.

Save the file, and if you have Google Earth installed double click on the file name in Explorer. That will open the file in Google Earth. You should see something like the image here.
