March is the sloppiest month

It's pretty soupy out there. Your choice is usually to walk on soft and slick snow or through the suction cups of mud. Otherwise the trails are in good shape after a wet winter. I know of trees down on the Walnut Rim Trail and a few others, but reports of problems are always welcome.

  1. Down-tree report! There's a 2-ft diameter tree fallen across the North Pueblo Trail in the canyon section just below the Quemazon neighborhood. It's on a steep section of the trail, where it's not possible to bypass.
